      Hi,

after switching on my device like every morning : all personal data in the device gone!

Like a full reset. Network Wifi had to be typed in again…no sessions, no algorythm presets…

Running the latest official Software version 1.2.2 and its corresponding Emote software for 2 months without any major problems.

      Any ideas for the cause?

Anyway a good reminder and lesson to store everything twice and keep safety copies of everything.

      Puzzled, Edgar

I also lost my session settings a few weeks ago on 1.2.4 beta after simply turning off my H9000, and then turning it back on a couple of days later.

I had been tweaking the same session for some time already, and this had never happened before. I don’t remember if the fx chains were all empty afterwards, or if some default factory session was loaded instead, but still, all of my session settings were lost. Saved sessions were however intact in my H9000, so I was able to load a previous saved one. I’m in a habit of saving everything after doing major changes, but still I hope this was only a single incident and won’t happen again. I’m now on 1.3.0 beta. So far so good.

BTW, is there some kind of a battery inside the H9000 that deflates over time if not connected to AC power? I’m using a main power switch to turn on/off my gear and started wondering if I should keep the H9000 connected to ac and use it’s own power button instead? Don’t think so but let me know if I’m wrong.

Good morning …..again all data lost after switching on my device…this time a backed up all data on the USB drive.

Well, must be a battery issue maybe within the H9000? Any help please gladly appreciated…

      have a good day,

      kind regards, Edgar

Sorry you have had this problem.  This is most likely not an issue with the battery.  It is probably that the persistent filesystem got corrupted somehow.  Please could you try a full factory reset – power on the H9000 while holding the SESSIONS, FXCHAINS and ALGORITHMS keys.  You can release the keys after the Eventide logo appears on the screen (a few seconds).

If this turns out to fix the issue, I think we will need to consider adding a "Shutdown" command in the H9000 system.

      Hi JBamberg,

      thanx for your fast reply.
I made the full reset, hacked in the wifi pw, importetd my data from the usb-stick and rebooted.
Now everything is back to normal, the H9000 obeys as it should 😉

      Kind regards from Munich/Germany,

      Edgar.
