In the manual it says the “thru” preset is an “electronic” connection between the input and output. Does that mean there’s no A/D D/A conversion happening? Almost like a true bypass?

If your IO is digital, then the only conversion is coming back out of your interface to however you’re monitoring. If your IO is analog, then that portion of the signal chain will obviously be converted.

      Yes, joeydego is correct here.

Keep in mind that any algorithm in the FX Chain will introduce a small amount of latency. Any time I use a Thru algorithm it’s usually to troubleshoot my routing and make sure audio is passing.

If you’d like to route your input to your outputs with no effects processing, you can use Direct I/O routing – https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h9000/2.0/content/emote/views/directIO_view.html

Direct I/O routing allows you to use your H9000 as a digital patchbay while still have access to all 4 FX Chains.
