        Hi,

Fairly new user of a H9000r.

PC, Windows, Cubase Pro v15, H9000r Gen2 connected via ethernet/hub, mixing on an analog desk, Emote as a plugin for storing/recalling settings.

When doing mix revisions I open a project, do the mix revision, bounce the track, close the project and move on to the next project. It is my observation that after a few open/rev/close-cycles I lose the connection with my H9000.

Some experimenting lead me to being forced to quite Cubase, open the Emote Windows program to see if it is “found” and then re-open Cubase and the next project.

Other people experiencing this as well or is it my system?

        TIA,

        Herwig

          Hello,

Can you please provide a bit more information?

When you open up the DAW and can’t connect to Emote, are you seeing the H9000 and you get an error message when you attempt to connect? Or is the H9000 not showing up at all?

the emote plugin isn’t seeing the H9k then. When I open the Windows Emote app (with Cubase still open) it doesn’t find it as well. Only option is quit Cubase. At that time the app finds the H9kr and when I re-open Cubase and load the next project everything is fine.

Not a big problem, just wondering if this is me/my system. 🙂

I experience the exact same issue with Sonar X3 Producer.  My H9000r is Gen1/2.2 connected to a Windows 10 PC via ethernet.  I work in 48 kHz/32-bit float and the first project always loads.  After closing a project and then opening another one or sometimes two, the H9000r will not connect in Sonar.  The solution is to close Sonar and connect to the H9k using the emote desktop app.  After that, projects load correctly.  To avoid the connect failure, my workflow is open project > close project > open emote and connect > close emote > open project.  It’s not a major issue as you said and I’ve gotten used to the workaround.  The H9000 is otherwise rock solid in a DAW last updated in 2016.  I assumed the issue was related to the driver or emote plugin since Sonar X3 loads projects without issues with other modern VST2/VST3 plugins and devices I’ve used.  Someone with another DAW experiencing the same issue seems to support that possibility.
