HELP!! Connecting H80000fw to Logic Pro x (firewire)

I’ve been desperately trying to connect my h80000fw to logic via firewire to use the eventide as an outboard unit for mixing.

I’m on the most updated version of logic pro x and macbook pro. My interface is an apogee ensemble.

I can get input lights on the h80000, but then no sound through the apogee. The manual hasn’t been much help because it walks you through logic 7 and the new version is totally different. 

I love the h8000, but i’m really struggling here

I’m trying this through adat as well. The input lights on the eventide are showing, but i haven’t been successful bringing the signal back into logic
