ParticipantHi Italo,
I couldn't find this in the manual/help section I'm looking at.I'm finally getting into learning how to do this stuff, and figure that starting w/ and actual preset is the best method to get familiar.
How do I retrieve that info?
Thanks,
Cass -

you need to refer to Vsigfile User manual, available on the Eventide website.

ParticipantHi Italo,
I've read the manual several times, have completed both tutorials, etc.., and I still don't know how to import a preset from my unit to vsig.I'm sure it's something completely simple, but I haven't figured it out. I'm determined to learn to program my H8000, but am not off to a very good start. 🙂

MemberHi Cass
page 5 of Vsigfile User Manual V2.0. You need a PC with a Serial port (COM) and a serial cable.
Install Vsig, configure the serial port as described on page 7, download modules database from the unit as described on page 9.
Then load any preset on the H8000 and click GET under the MIDI menu.

ParticipantThere's one little subtlety though. That is that you must have opened a new file in order for the GET command to work. If you dont have a new blank file open, nothing happens.

ParticipantI'm not sure that's a subtlety–it won't work if you don't do it! 🙂
Thanks, gentlemen. For us non-programming types, maybe that should be changed in the manual.

MemberWhen you launch VSIG a blank sigfile is being opened as default anyway.
From Vsig manual, page 31:
Get
Get an algorithm from a remote system to the current document. This will delete the contents of the current documentI
