ModeratorEventide StaffThis issue has been covered many times on this Forum.
You need to reformat the card as FAT (not FAT32) on a PC (not a Mac, sorry), and then copy the files and perform the upgrade again.
Then it should work.

MemberHi there, a bit late on this thread but….here i am
I’m experiencing exactly the same problems. same version, same message, same file….
But…As i’m following your suggestion to format in fat (with a pc) and copy all the files in as they are, Eclipse tells me the card isn’t formatted.
as I re-format the card with the eclipse, pc show me it’s a fat32. I copy the files, power on the eclipse with 1 key pressed, it copies again the romprog.exe and stops…and so on…
any other suggestion?
thank you for your help
Giorgio

ModeratorEventide StaffTry with a smaller card (1G or below) formatted as FAT.
Earlier versions of Eclipse do not support FAT32.

Show Less...hello there.
unfortnuately It’s already a 1Gb card and, as mentioned, it’s fat, not fat32.

For obvious reasons, it's very difficult to diagnose these problems remotely.
I would suggest that you try another (smaller) card, formatted on the Eclipse. If that does not work, send the card to Eventide, marked for my attention.

ParticipantHi. I have updated Eclipse from version 3.1 to 4.01, going through 3.51 first. I did it with a 128 megabytes Compact Flash card and used an Olympus Cadmedia C-8080 Wide Zoom digital camera to format the card and the subsequent file copies. Everything worked the first time and without problem. Greetings.

ModeratorEventide StaffGlad it went well for you.
Other users should note that in general we recommend that you take an unused card and do not format it before use. (There are various possible formats and one cannot be sure which one is being used).

Please try a card 512M or below, formatted on the Eclipse, as suggested above.
