Has anyone installed an input transformer on the 2830? If so, were there any specific issues that you found doing so? I’m putting together parts to install the Hammond 1140-LN-E. Any suggestions? thanks
Sorry, no direct suggestions, but over the years i owned a couple different Omnipressors and from what I remember, any input stage changes/differences were lost/overwhelmed by the Omnipressor’s electronics when you listened to the output. Then again, I was mainly using electronic sources (drum machines, synths), so the transformer benefits may be more apparent on things like vocals and mic’d up gear.
