Hello –
I am building a very compact rig for 2 H90s
They take 9-12 volts DC
but the supplied power supply is a 12 volt supply.
is the anything to loose from using an very small isolated power supply like this one:
Gator GTR-PWR-5

Also – what is the exact connector size for the DC 9-12 input ?
I noticed that some do not fit
Thanks!

This power supply will not work because it does not provide enough current, even if you combine all the outputs. At 9V the H90 requires 800 mA. At 12V it requires 600 mA. We recommend something like this: https://store.eventideaudio.com/collections/accessories/products/powermini
One outlet will be sufficient for the H90 running it at 12V.

The barrel cable needs to have a 2.5 mm connector and it needs to have a center-positive polarity.

OK
Are the switchable 9-18v outputs on both the Power Mini and Power Max V2 enough to provide 600mA for each H90?
I noticed that the 12V DC position has 500 written below

The 12V 500 mA output of each individual outlet of the PowerMax/Mini products is enough to withstand the startup spike the H90 requires. We have tested this and Cioks has verified this is correct. One outlet is sufficient.

Thanks Joe
The rig that I am building combines two formats in to one box: Eurorack modular synth on a top row with two H90s on the bottom.
This is a standing kiosk not a foot pedal board so its a case with IEC power switches feeding 2 +/- 12V 3.5 amp power supplies for the modular synth.
Would it also be possible to power the H90s with their own supply like this one typically used in Eurorack cases?

Thanks joecozzi for clarification.
At the moment I use the current doubler cable at 2 x 12V (500mA each) with my Cioks DC7.
So according to Cioks, this is not necessary? I read this recommendation somewhere else with the justification that future updates could make the device more power-hungry? -

It’s best to continue using it the way you’re using it.
