        Hello,

I already own an H90 which I love and use as external FX in my DAW. I’ve been reading quite a bit about the Reverb 2016 rackmount and I’m curious whether I should get one too. I know the SP2016 algos are the same in both units but is there a substantial difference in terms of quality of sound between the R2016 with its converters, etc. and the H90?

        Many thanks

          Hello,

Glad to hear you are enjoying the H90. I don’t think you’d notice much of a difference when using the R2016 vs the SP2016 Reverb on the H90. I would not say there may be a subtle (not a substantial) difference. It’s more of a question of workflow preference since the rackmount would be a dedicated reverb unit.

If you are mainly using a DAW, SP2016 Reverb is also available as a plug-in that you can try for free: https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/sp2016-reverb/
