sample rate question

if i'm using the analog i/o on the eclipse exclusively (no digital i/o), does it matter if the sample rate matches that of my computer audio interface?  for example: i prefer to run the eclipse at 48khz to have access to all preset.  due to latency i need to run my interface (and correspondingly my daw) at 96khz.  shouldn't matter, right?  i'll try it tonight but wanted to know what is "technically" correct.

No, it doesn't matter. Analog signal doesn't carry any "sample rate". So… when analog signal arrives at your audio interface the AD converter builds everything up from the ground again. Then a newborn digital signal has started a fresh life.
