Well, I don't use PT, so I guess I can get excited when (and IF) we have it as some sort of VST, too.

Wow, amazing screen shot on the website. I'll definitely use ProTools to control my H7600, even without a real ProTools session now.

      Isn't it only for protools?

Well  so far it's only being released as an RTAS plugin.  (RTAS is the native plugin format for Pro Tools and cannot be used on any other platform.)

Being a RTAS I'm guessing it will also work on PT Le.

Also if it's going to be on both OS X and Windows?

From a recent posting on this forum:

      Yes, it will work on
      ProTools LE 7.4 Mac.

      E-Control is an RTAS
plug-in, so it will work on TDM, LE, and M-Powered ProTools
      systems.

All ProTools 7.x versions will be supported.

       Both PPC and Intel on
OSX 10.3 and higher will be supported.

Nothing planned on Windows at the moment….but who knows what the future will bring.

Yes, indeed. Can't wait to try controling 2 Eclipse' in one session. Or maybe an H8000 and a Eclipse. This is going to be awesome!

I would try it myself, since I have ProTools LE 7.3 on Mac OS 10.4.  On a more abstract level, I see a neat strategy, for a DAW at the middle or lower end of the price range to be complemented by a higher-end stand-alone hardware FX box as bolt-on horsepower.

This plug-in looks great. Its a shame only usable in ProTools. Any hope to see it one day as a AU plug-in for Logic Pro ? H8000FW has a wide future. The same for Logic i think.  Geeked

Any news on E-Control in 2013 ? The page link is broken. Is it abandoned ?

We discontinued it a while back (see Forum references), mainly because it did not work well enough to be useful. The amount of data needed to properly load and save sessions caused it to be very slow.

      Sorry.
