Can anyone confirm how to connect an Eclipse to the effects loop of a Mesa Boogie Mark V?

If I understand the knowledgebase article http://web.eventide.com/kbaudio/article.php?id=100, the connections are as follows: The Mark V 1/4" effects loop Send will be connected to the Eclipse channel 1 XLR input; the Eclipse channel 1 XLR output will be connected to the Mark V 1/4" effects loop Return. Both connections will use a cable with an unbalanced 1/4" and a balanced XLR.

I Just use 1/4" all the way. once you bridge pins 1& 3 together on the xlr, it isn't a balanced line anymore anyway, Right?

      Right.

If you use a mono jack into the input it will also perform the unbalancing.
