The H9 has various compressors and my favorites are in EQCompressor (duh!), Ducked Delay, and DynaVerb. Yes, if you shut of the delay and reverb in the latter two algorithms you have feature-rich compressors just waiting to squish something. This, of course, was totally intended by Eventide. I'm posting a compressor preset for each of these algorithms to raise awareness and to give one generic example of how one accesses these compressors. Here's an E minor pentatonic riff that decays over time. The FB:2 selection in Feedback "degrades the pattern as it repeats"; effectively shuffling the resonant notes around. The expression pedal fades out the resonance & background reverb. That brings everything forward for a rhythmic, delay-only decay. The Feedback setting still shuffles the repetitions around. HotSwitch programming swaps direction of the notes E5-G5-A5-B5 to B5-A5-G5-E5.
